My wife Courtney and I are graduates of the United States Air Force Academy, class of 1999. After graduation and a few short follow-on assingments, we PCS'd to Spokane, WA. Courtney became a Personel and Military Equal Opportunity Officer in Spokane, and also had time to earn her MBA in Marketing from City University. I became a "Heavy" pilot for the Air Force flying the KC-135R out of Fairchild AFB, and was lucky enough to have the opportunity to serve in various military operations over IRAQ and AFGHANISTAN between 2001 and 2004. In 2005 my family and I moved to Vance AFB in Enid where I instructed in the T-1A Jayhawk for the 4 and a half years, and Courtney served as the Military Personel Flight Commander. It has been one heck of an adventure for us and our three children, Connor (6), Jake (4), and little Brianna (2). Enid has really grown on us, and we have fallen in love with this little family oriented town, and have intentions on staying for the long term.
Today in mid 2009, Courtney seperated from the Air Force in 2007, and has since quickly become one of the top
REALTORS in Enid, OK, ($8.1M in sales, #5 in Enid unofficially for 2008) specializing in military relocation, residential investment properties, and even commercial real estate. I just recently seperated from active duty, and am now flying with the "OKIES" in the Air Force Reserves! I plan to continue flying and serving my country ten to twelve days a month, with the "OKIES" (the 465th out of Tinker AFB, flying the mighty KC-135R) as well as spend more time with my three children, become a WAY better golfer, and find more great investment properties around Enid and Colorado!!!
Courtney and I have been purchasing residential real estate in Colorado and Oklahoma since 2003, and have built a portfolio of almost 3 million dollars, and thirteen properties that we personally manage. It has changed our lives, and given us financial freedom... and yes, I am only 33 years young. My hope is that more people will soon realize that real estate is by far the greatest single investment vehicle, and that even today during our uncertain, difficult times, and regardless of what you hear in the "media," real estate investing is the easiest way to gain financial freedom.
My goal with "EREIG" is to educate more people to these facts, and to bring together people who think the same way about real estate. Could this be a "venture capital" company someday putting together partnerships to purchase all types of real estate all over Enid or even the country? Perhaps... if you are the right kind of person...
